2009 Education Department Course Offerings

This year’s Education Session will be held October 12-15, 2009. Classes will be held 6:15 – 7:30 p.m. at Zion Benevolent Baptist Church. Followed by Worship Services at 7:30 p.m. Please select one course from the listing below and return the completed form to your Sunday School Superintendent by Sunday, September 20, 2009.

Mission America (Instructor: Rev. Pratt Bassett)                                  

This workshop will focus on training the Body to become more effective at evangelizing in our community, the nation, and into the uttermost part of the world. Why is it important to support foreign ministries?

Seeking His Face: The Ministry of Prayer (Instructor: Redfern Deuce, City Light World-Wide)       

This workshop will reinvigorate the prayer life of the Body as we learn to become more effective prayers as we intercede for others in our homes, workplace, and wherever our feet trod.

Church Innovations & Marketing (Instructor: Rev. Bernard Sumter & Rev. Ricky Ezelle)

As we look to the future, many services and sharing of information will be achieved via the Internet. The Association has many new developments that will be accessible to members electronically. This course will enable us to show others what makes our place of workshop special. Also, how to use marketing tools to put a public face on your church.

Mending Broken Pieces (Instructor: Rev. Douglas Simmons)

This workshop will provide Biblical instruction and guidance in how to handle conflict and resolve issues in a manner that does not compromise the witness of the believer. The dynamics of relationships will be explored and participants will gleam from various discussion groups and testimonies.
